Battle Over Royalties Continues
As all of you regular visitors to this site can attest, the battle over requiring radio stations streaming over the Net to pay royalties has caused many stations to give up the fight and stop streaming. The associations for the music recording industry and others lobbied for and received changes in Federal law and regulations that require stations to pay each time they play a song on the Internet, and to report very cumbersome and extensive information. I have been hoping against hope for a meaningful resolution, and I have been continuing to catalog the stations for the day of their return. I am now reluctantly starting the purge process. You will see old friends disappear from my listings, because their return to streaming is now very much in question.
Pardon my dust as I purge, and thanks for your patience!
